The delivery partners for the Greener Living Fund (GLF) are being selected through a two-stage process. In the first stage, third sector organisations were asked to provide a short concept note describing what they would want to do to contribute to the aims of the fund. 112 concept notes were received requesting a total of £58m in support, nearly 10 times the amount funding available.
From these 112 applications, 17 have been selected and will be supported technically and financially to produce a full proposal. The 17 organisations, in alphabetical order are:
- ActionAid
- British Trust for Conservation Volunteers (BTCV)
- Climate Group
- Climate Outreach and Information Network (COIN)
- Co-operatives UK
- Global Action Plan
- Help the Aged
- Low Carbon Communities Network
- Marine Stewardship Council (MSC)
- National Trust
- National Union of Students
- redesign
- Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB)
- Sustainable Energy Academy (SEA)
- Sustrans
- Waterwise Project
- Woodcraft Folk
The deadline for full applications is 20 Apr 2009.
We envisage that as many as 10 of these organisations will be selected as delivery partners for the Greener Living Fund.
